McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Tuesday, October 13, 2020
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Tuesday, October 13, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, or as needed.
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
Over the weekend, four long-term care homes experienced COVID-19 outbreaks in London-Middlesex, identified through staff surveillance testing. Dr. Alex Summers, Associate Medical Officer of Health with the Middlesex-London Health Unit, has communicated that the measures put into place at long-term care homes, such as staff testing and masking, have been effective in early identification and preventing infections from the second wave of the pandemic to date. We continue to follow the health unit’s recommendations and work diligently to keep McCormick Home safe for everyone.
Our next round of staff testing will occur this week on Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15, 2020.
As a reminder, if you would like to add additional family members to receive the updates through One Call Now, a maximum of six phone numbers and six e-mails may be entered per resident into this system. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to add additional members. Please identify your loved one in your e-mail message.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,
