Caring for Our Residents
We understand that making the transition to long-term care can be a particularly emotional journey for not only the resident but for their family and friends as well. We make every effort to ensure that we provide high quality care to all our residents for everyone’s comfort and peace of mind. The medical and nursing staff of McCormick Home consist of highly skilled, experienced and compassionate gerontological professionals. Our care team includes the resident, family, physician, pharmacist, social worker, chaplain, dietitian, recreation, and nursing staff to ensure that holistic needs are being met.
We are committed to providing individualized assessments and care plans that focus on each resident’s physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs. The shared goal of each care plan is to maintain or enhance therapeutic, restorative, and preventative needs.
Our medical director, family physician, director of resident care and nurse practitioner are responsible for overseeing all medical care services. McCormick Home provides 24 hour a day services from registered nurses, registered practical nurses and personal care assistants. Our medical and nursing personnel are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
The nursing staff respect the individualized choices of our residents and are professionally trained, knowledgeable and sensitive in providing palliative care. Our philosophy is to continue to strive for medical and nursing excellence. We achieve this through continued professional growth while developing and maintaining relationships with residents and families in an environment that promotes communication, compassion and well-being.
