At McCormick Dementia Services, community collaborations are a key part of enhancing quality of life for those with dementia. Here is a look at some of the community outreach activities we’ve undertaken this past year.

This past year, clients of the McCormick Dementia Services Day Program were invited to participate in a special art therapy project sponsored by the London Arts Council and the McCormick Care Foundation. In addition to participating in visual arts activities, clients enjoyed working with professional artists in music and dance.
Having a diagnosis of dementia is a life-altering event. Understanding the challenges and emotions one encounters, McCormick Dementia Services, the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex, the Salvation Army and the VON Alzheimer Community Support Program are pleased to present this Dementia Program Guide to be used as a resource for the community support services that are designed to mitigate the challenges of dementia.
To commemorate January as Alzheimer Awareness Month, McCormick Dementia Services partnered with the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex to deliver an information session to the community about the basics of dementia.
