We are heading into the home stretch of our current three-year strategic plan, and the excitement is building for the next phase of our organizational journey. I would like to acknowledge the members of our staff action teams for spearheading several important strategic initiatives this year.
In particular, thank you to the Relationship-Centred Care Action Team for holding the Gallery Walk and Dream Workshops to gather important stakeholder input on our organizational progress to date, as well as to inform the development of our strategic plan for the next three years. In addition to overseeing the second annual McCormick Care Group Employee Values Award program, our Quality of Work Life Action Team is exploring an innovative approach to managing grief at the workplace in collaboration with King’s University College. More updates on this important initiative will be available in the near future.
This year marks the 145th anniversary at the McCormick Care Group. Starting with a soup kitchen in Covent Garden Market in 1874, the tireless and foresighted founding members of the Women’s Christian Association launched many important social and support programs throughout their long history in London. I invite you to visit our anniversary website to learn more.
It is indeed an exciting time at our organization, and I am grateful to all our board members, staff, volunteers, residents, clients, family members and community partners for their tremendous support, which enables us to continue our legacy of care in the community.
