This summer, McCormick Home and McCormick Dementia Services were successfully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for a three-year period.
According to CARF, this decision “represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows substantial conformance to CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer-review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.”
By pursuing and achieving accreditation, McCormick Home and McCormick Dementia Services have demonstrated that they meet international standards for quality long-term care, adult day programs and dementia care, and are committed to pursuing excellence in care delivery.
Much work goes into ensuring compliance with the accreditation standards as well as participating in the tri-annual review. This accreditation is a key endorsement of McCormick staff and volunteers and their commitment and adherence to the highest standards in the health services industry.
This review also included an evaluation of the board governance model at McCormick Care Group. We are extremely pleased at this positive outcome and the wonderful affirmation of the important legacy our Women’s Christian Association members have established and nurtured throughout our 145-year history.
