McCormick Support Groups and Services
Please note that our caregiver support services are being offered virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit the Caregiver’s Corner website for more information.
At McCormick Dementia Services, we provide support groups and services for the changing needs of our clients. We also recognize the importance of taking care of the caregiver. Our caregiver support services are designed to assist caregivers in their important role, and form a strong component of the McCormick Dementia Services program. Support is available to everyone regardless of whether or not their loved one attends the McCormick Day Program.
Services include counselling, telephone consultation, advocacy, information, referral and support groups. Registered social workers provide a variety of group sessions during the day and evening. Caregiver Support Services offer many opportunities for caregivers to seek and obtain information, guidance and support. Appointments with the social workers can be arranged by calling or e-mailing us. Support groups require pre-registration and registration confirmation prior to attending the groups.
For appointments or registration information, call us by phone at (519) 439-9336.
There are no fees for Caregiver Support Services. However, donations to McCormick Dementia Services through the McCormick Care Foundation are greatly appreciated.
