McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Wednesday April 14, 2021
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
Just a reminder of the family information session with the administrator that will be held this evening via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. to provide an update on the current state of the pandemic, changes in ministry directives, changes within the home, and to answer any questions you may have. The link for the Zoom meeting will be sent out in a separate email. You are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend, minutes will be circulated via e-mail the following day.
It has been brought to my attention by several staff that some essential caregivers are not adhering to the requirement of wearing your mask, for the entire duration of your visit. This is not optional. As set out in the Family Visitor COVID-19 Guidelines and Education Requirements that you have reviewed and signed, you have agreed to abide by this mandatory requirement. Failure to comply will result in the suspension of your visit. I have advised the Registered Staff that, if this is reported, to ask you to leave the home immediately. A follow up meeting will be required prior to any further visits. We are committed to doing all we can to protect your loved ones and all other residents, staff and caregivers who are a part of the McCormick Home family.
As a reminder, you are not permitted to consume food or drinks while in the home, as you must keep your mask on the entire time. We support you bringing in items for your loved ones, but you cannot remove your mask at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and continued diligence as we strive in our collective goal to keep our residents and each other safe.
Tanya Pol,
Administrator
