McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

This is a McCormick Care Group update for Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

The Ministry of Long-Term Care has released updated directives that come into effect on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, when the current directives are set to expire. The new directives will remain in place until at least June 11, 2022.

A family Zoom meeting with the administrator will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. to review the changes.  The details for the Zoom meeting will be sent out in a separate e-mail.

Oak Avenue continues to be in a rhinovirus (common cold) outbreak.  Only residents who are displaying respiratory signs or symptoms are being isolated in their rooms.  COVID-19 outbreaks continue to increase within our surrounding community and require ongoing diligence with public health measures, such as masking and proper hand hygiene.
