COVID-19 Update April 4, 2022

McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

Monday, April 4, 2022

This is a McCormick Care Group update for Monday, April 4, 2022.

We continue to see cases of COVID-19 increase both locally and provincially as health experts predict we are in the sixth wave of the pandemic. The severity of this wave is unknown at this time.

As a result of these increased cases, McCormick Home continues to require daily rapid testing for all individuals entering the home. We will be implementing one change effective immediately for approved essential caregivers:  If a fully vaccinated caregiver is returning to the home after being away for 10 days due to a high-risk exposure, they will be required to wait 15 minutes to ensure a negative result is obtained on their first visit back to the home.

Our policies have been updated to reflect this change in our surveillance policy.

Please continue to remain diligent in following public health measures to protect our residents, staff and visitors.

Thank you,
