McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Thursday, August 26, 2021
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Further to previous discussions held during our family Zoom meeting in July, I am providing an update on indoor and outdoor visitor protocols for McCormick Home as we near the end of August.
With the fourth wave upon us, and rising COVID-19 cases both across the province and locally, we are still requesting that visitors notify the home in advance of their visit. Approved caregivers may continue to come and go at their leisure. The home needs to continue to monitor the number of individuals in our home at one time and ensure we have the space to safely accommodate visiting as per the COVID-19 protocols outlined by the Ministry of Long-Term Care.
To schedule a visit, please ensure family and friends who are not essential caregivers contact front reception at firstname.lastname@example.org or 519-432-2648, ext. 2300 to book a visit.
An additional reminder that if you are having an indoor visit in resident rooms, there can be no more than three visitors at one time to ensure the physical distancing required. If there are more than three individuals, an alternative visiting space must be scheduled and available to accommodate the visit.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for your understanding and have a wonderful day!
