McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

This is a McCormick Care Group COVID-19 Update for Thursday, December 23, 2021. 

I am pleased to report that all of the resident and staff results have been returned for Evergreen Walk, and all are negative. If there are no new symptomatic residents or staff, the outbreak for Evergreen is on track to be declared over by the Middlesex-London Health Unit sometime on Christmas Day.  Residents will remain in isolation for breakfast as the health unit does not open until 0900 and the outbreak cannot be declared over until consultation occurs with the health unit.  As soon as notification and confirmation has been received an update will be sent out to notify everyone.

I am pleased to report that our resident and staff testing from Memory Lane completed yesterday have been returned with the exception of one resident.  All results have been negative to date.  We have two residents who have mild symptoms today and are being re-swabbed.

With 263 new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex and 5,790 cases in Ontario, please continue to limit your contacts and be extremely diligent in following public health measures.
