McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Wednesday, December 15, 2021
This is a third McCormick Care Group COVID-19 Update for Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
In addition to the highlights in update #2, further clarification was provided regarding fully vaccinated residents going off the property for a social day absence as of December 17, 2021:
Requirements upon return/admission/transfer to home for day absences:
- Residents will be actively screened upon their return.
- A rapid test and a PCR test will be administered on Day 3 following the absence, followed by a PCR test on Day 7.
- No isolation is required unless a positive result is received.
- If there is any known exposure to a case, a PCR test will be conducted on Day 1 and again on Day 7. The resident will be isolated until a negative result is confirmed from Day 7.
Please note that I will hold off sending out the meeting minutes from last night’s family call and will issue them following tomorrow’s update, as some of the information discussed last evening has been clarified today.
Some of you have experienced a bounce-back in the e-mail previously sent out. Please try this alternate e-mail address including the capital letters if you wish to express your concerns related to the changes being implemented: MLTCpandemicresponse@ontario.ca.
The details for the Zoom meeting tomorrow night have been sent out in separate e-mail.
Please note: All resident results with the exception of one have been received from yesterday’s PCR tests. All test have come back negative. An update will be sent as soon as possible tomorrow.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.
