McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Sunday, February 20, 2022
This is a McCormick Care Group update for Sunday, February 20, 2022.
The next phase of the gradual easing of temporary enhanced measures commences tomorrow, Monday, February 21, 2022. These include:
- Resuming all general visitors five years and older, who have had at least two COVID-19 vaccine doses. Note: children under five years of age continue to be restricted from entering the Home, with the exception of infants, 12 months or younger.
- Increasing the number of visitors (including caregivers) that may visit a resident at one time to three.
- Expanding social day absences to all residents, regardless of vaccination status.
- Resuming social overnight absences for residents who have had at least three COVID-19 vaccine doses.
Please advise your family members and friends that, as general visitors, they must provide proof of vaccination with an enhanced vaccine certificate with the QR code on each visit, to gain entry to the Home.
Please note that active screening will remain in place indefinitely.
Approved essential caregivers must submit proof of their enhanced vaccine certificate with the QR code no later than Monday, February 28, 2022 or show proof at the door to gain entry to the Home. If you require assistance accessing your certificate, we are pleased to assist you if you have a green and white provincial health card. If not, you will need to contact your local public health for assistance in obtaining your QR code.
Have a wonderful evening,
