McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update #2
Friday, January 14, 2022
This is a McCormick Care Group update for Friday, January 14, 2022.
We are pleased to report that after consulting with the health unit, the home may now discontinue the precautionary isolation that has been in place on Willow Ridge. Residents who display respiratory symptoms will remain in isolation for a minimum of five days from onset. If the time since the onset is greater than five days, those residents will be able to come out of their rooms at this time. We do have one active COVID-19 case, but no further spread of cases have been identified. These public health measures are utilized to ensure the safety of residents, staff and caregivers in our home. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
PCR testing was completed this morning for residents on Memory Lane. The results will not likely be available until later Saturday or Sunday, depending on testing volumes at the labs. An update will be provided when more information is available.
McCormick Home will be hosting booster clinics for third doses for caregivers on Thursday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 25, 2022. If you would like to book an appointment, please contact Tanya or Arlene.
Wishing you a restful weekend. Stay safe.
