McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Friday, January 21, 2022
This is a McCormick Care Group update for Friday, January 21, 2022.
It is with extreme sadness that I share the news that one of the residents who previously tested positive for COVID-19 passed away today.
We send our deepest condolences to the family during this very difficult time.
We share most profoundly in the considerable shock and grief at the loss of this resident. This is indeed a very sad time, and we all share in this time of sorrow.
The resident testing conducted on Evergreen Walk on Wednesday revealed two new positive cases of COVID-19. Both residents are asymptomatic at this time. After consultation with the health unit, provided there are no new symptomatic residents between now and Monday, the health unit may allow all of the residents to come out of isolation, with the exception of the two new cases. An update will be provided on Monday after we consult with the health unit. Please note that this situation is evolving and can change at any time.
We are all working diligently to ensure that the highest standards of infection prevention and control are being maintained.
Please be assured that we place the utmost priority on keeping everyone safe.
In light of these most determined efforts, may we all pause to share a prayer or a thoughtful moment in honour of our lost McCormick Home resident. Words cannot express how deeply we feel this most significant loss.
