McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

This is a McCormick Care Group update for Monday, January 24, 2022.

It is with regret that I confirm the health unit will not be lifting the outbreak on Evergreen Walk at this time. There have been two additional staff cases in the past week, in addition to the two residents who tested positive on January 19, 2022.  The health unit is currently gathering all of the information related to the cases and assessing the level of risk to the residents and the home.  We recognize that this news is very disappointing.  Please know we are advocating for the concerns related to the lengthy isolation, but ultimately, we require the health unit’s approval before we can make any changes to our status.

The health unit has also indicated they are currently reviewing the guidelines for outbreak management.

We will provide an update as more information becomes available.
