McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Monday January 11, 2021
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday, January 11, 2021.
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
I am pleased to report that 61% of the staff within our organization have received their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Staff continue to book appointments to obtain their vaccination in the fight against COVID-19.
Resident consent forms have been coming in consistently. Thank you for supporting our efforts to vaccinate residents against the spread of COVID-19. We will advise you when McCormick Home will start the immunization of residents. If you have not submitted your consent form, and still have questions, please contact Arlene MacDonald at 519-432-2648 Ext. 2402.
A reminder to family members that, if you are planning to bring in a dessert to celebrate a special event (i.e. birthday or anniversary), please ensure you contact Angela DeGregorio, Nutrition Manager, at 519-432-2648 Ext. 2316 so menus can be adjusted. Dr. Alex Summers, Associate Medical Officer of Health, continues to support these special events. He encourages families to provide cupcakes so they can be distributed individually. If this is not possible, the dietary staff will portion and serve the dessert, so it can be done safely.
We thank you for your ongoing understanding as we fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Have a wonderful week,
Tanya Pol
