This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Saturday, January 16, 2021.

I am pleased to report that we have completed the residents’ first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine today with the support and assistance of the Middlesex London Public Health Unit Mobile Vaccination Team. We are thrilled to report that 95% of the McCormick Home residents were vaccinated today. Thank you to all the residents and families for supporting this critical step in the fight against COVID-19.

I regret to inform you that one of our staff member’s tested positive during our last routine staff surveillance testing. This staff member does not work directly with the residents, and the health unit has confirmed that this will not place the home into outbreak status. The staff member is isolating at home and we will be providing support to them until they are cleared by public health to return to work.
