McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Friday, July 3, 2020
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Friday, July 3, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as needed.
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
Our outdoor visiting continues to go well as we work together to schedule visits with your loved ones. Just a few reminders to make the process go more smoothly for everyone involved:
- You must check in with the screener upon arrival to answer the questionnaire related to signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and have your temperature taken before you participate in a visit.
- Any scheduled visits with residents must take place within the 14-day period from the date your test was taken, as mandated by the Ministry of Long-Term Care. Please ensure your COVID-19 swab result is up-to-date and a copy has been provided to the home prior to your visit. Alternatively, you may bring a copy with you on your visiting day.
- If you have been diagnosed with asthma or COPD, the health unit has confirmed that you are exempt from the need to wear a mask. Please note that the six-foot social distancing requirement must be maintained.
Thank you again for your ongoing cooperation in keeping McCormick Home safe for everyone.
