COVID-19 Update July 8 2021

McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

Thursday, July 8, 2021

This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Thursday, July 8, 2021.

As a follow up to the family Zoom meeting held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, indoor and outdoor visitors are now permitted within the home.  General visitors, whether indoor or outdoor, must book visits by contacting front reception at ext. 2300 or by e-mailing admin.assistant@mccormickcare.ca.

Indoor visitors are limited to two at a time, in addition to two essential caregivers.  Indoor visitors must undergo rapid testing and have a negative result prior to proceeding with their visit. All visitors will be asked about vaccination status and to show proof, as it determines where the visit will occur and the level of physical contact permitted.

I have confirmed with Dr. Summers that children three years or older must be rapid tested to enter the home.  Larger groups for outdoor visits are permitted, with up to 10 visitors at a time.  To accommodate requests for larger groups, the East Garden will have designated areas.  However, rapid testing will be required as you have to enter the home to access the garden.  Outdoor visitors for this area do not have to wait for test results, as the visit is taking place outside the building.

The minutes from the family Zoom meeting were e-mailed out yesterday.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support as we transition through these changes together.

Have a great day!
