McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Monday, June 22, 2020
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday June 22, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as needed.
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
We are happy to report that the staff COVID-19 testing from June 10 to 12, 2020, was 100% negative. These results are indeed excellent news for the Home, and we are gearing up for our next round of testing for all staff this week from June 24 to 26, 2020.
Thank you to our families who submitted their COVID-19 test results to date. This effort is very much appreciated and does provide reassurance to all of us at the Home. As a reminder, the results document does not contain any personal health identifiers, such as your full name, full health card number or date of birth. It only indicates the date your swab was taken and the outcome of your results, which allows us to track when your results expire.
As a follow up to the family Zoom call, if you have been diagnosed with asthma, the health unit has advised that you can refrain from wearing a mask as long as social distancing is maintained. Please note that the health unit has advised that a face shield is not a substitute for a mask.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
