McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update

This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday, March 1, 2021.

There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.

Our social worker will be hosting a family support group via Zoom on Monday, March 15, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please contact Joanne Nancekivell at 519-432-2648, ext. 2369 or jnancekivell@mccormickcare.ca by Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The support group will be limited to 10 participants. If interest exceeds that limit, we will look at the possibility of offering this opportunity again in the future.

From Sunday, February 28 to Sunday, March 14, 2021, caregivers can participate in our rapid testing on site, up to a maximum of three times per week. Alternatively, they can provide evidence of a PCR test and have one rapid test on site, as per the ministry directive.

Effective March 15, 2021, the only acceptable form of testing will be rapid testing.  Testing will be available between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., seven days per week.  If you are visiting in the evening, please arrive at the home no later than 7:30 p.m. to allow for the test to be processed.

For our tracking and testing purposes a “week” will be considered Monday to Sunday.
