McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Monday, March 23, 2020
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday, March 23, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as needed.
Currently there are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
Please be reminded that, as always, if a resident displays signs of illness, such as a cough or upset stomach, we follow standard ministry protocol for outbreaks and isolate these individuals as per infection control guidelines.
We would also like to remind everyone that as there was a spike in COVID-19 cases in long-term care homes across the province over the weekend, the Ministry of Long-Term Care has directed that residents will no longer be permitted to be taken out of the building. In keeping with the government’s directives, we encourage everyone to stay at home to prevent further infection.
Due to the high demand for Facetime/Skype calls with our residents, we ask for your patience and understanding as we make every effort to respond to these requests.
We thank you for your cooperation.
