McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update
Monday, March 30, 2020
This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday, March 30, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as needed.
There are news reports that a resident at a long-term care home in London has contracted COVID-19. Please note that the residence in question is not McCormick Home. There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
The Ministry of Long-Term Care has issued an emergency order to allow homes the flexibility to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Certain reporting requirements are being lifted in order to free-up staff time and enable them to provide care where it is most needed. For an outline of these emergency measures, please visit Ontario.ca/news.
Please note that because we are not in a crisis situation, McCormick Home has decided to continue filing reports and maintaining documentation as usual and will do so without making any compromises to the care we are providing our residents.
We are very pleased at the positive responses to the photos we have been posting on our Facebook page. Watch for more resident photos to come.
