This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Friday, May 14, 2021.

The home has been given approval to resume hairdressing services for residents. As such, the salon will reopen on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.  Residents will visit the salon by resident home area to maintain cohorting and avoid the mixing of floors.  If you would like your loved one to receive hair services, please contact Nita at the front reception to ensure their name is added to the list.  You can either e-mail admin.assistant@mccormickcare.ca or call 519-432-2648, ext. 2300.

A reminder that as of today, staff and essential caregivers are eligible to change their second dose appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine.  While the phone lines may be busy, we encourage you to keep trying to get through.  As communicated on Tuesday, the process is as follows:

To change their second dose appointments, eligible individuals will need to call the Middlesex-London Health Unit’s COVID-19 Vaccine Booking line at 226-289-3560 and provide verbal attestation that they are eligible for the reduced vaccine dose interval.  

The Vaccine Booking line is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The online booking system cannot be used to reschedule an appointment.
