This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

As communicated on Friday, May 21, 2021, the Ministry of Long-Term Care announced that effective May 22, 2021, outdoor visits may resume for long-term care residents. There are several changes to the visitor policy compared to last year.

A family Zoom meeting with the administrator will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. to review the changes and answer any questions you may have.  A separate e-mail will follow containing the details of the Zoom call.

Outdoor visits must be pre-scheduled by contacting the front reception desk to book your visit, and not the staff on your loved one’s floor.  You can contact reception by calling 519-432-2648, ext. 2300 or by e-mailing admin.assistant@mccormickcare.ca.

Effective, Monday, May 31, 2021, outdoor visits may be scheduled for up to 60 minutes per resident, to a minimum of one visit per resident per week.
