This is a McCormick Care Group – COVID-19 Update for Monday, November 2, 2020. We will continue to provide these updates twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, or as needed.
There are no probable or suspected cases of COVID-19 among our residents or staff at this time.
I am pleased to report that our COVID-19 staff surveillance testing completed on October 28 and 29, 2020, resulted in 100% negative results. Currently in the London-Middlesex region, there are two long-term care homes and two retirement homes with confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks.
As a reminder to approved caregivers coming into the home, you are required to sign in and out using the designated yellow caregiver sheets, located at the nursing station when you enter the resident home area. As previously communicated, this record is required in the event of an emergency or if we need to assist public health with contact-tracing should an outbreak occur.
We are holding two upcoming influenza vaccination clinics for approved caregivers this week. You are welcome to obtain your vaccination in the Family Serenity Room during one of the following clinics:
- Wednesday, November 4, 2020, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Friday, November 6, 2020, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
